It is extremely easy to calculate the place value of a number. For example, as shown below, in the number 561- the digit 5 is at the hundreds place, 6 is at the tens place and 1 is at the ones place. Hundreds, tens and ones represent the digit value. The numbers 5,6 and 1 represent the numerical value. We get the place value by multiplying the numerical value with the digit value.
