So we will add all the digits of 234, which will be 2 + 3 + 4 = 9.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now the sum 9 is a multiple of 3. Therefore, 234 is divisible by 3.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The divisibility rule of 3 is helpful to check the divisibility in large numbers. Here, we keep applying the divisibility test until we get the sum of the digits of the number closer to 3 or multiple of 3.
